Review
This was easily the best Tom Holt book I’ve read. He has markedly improved as a writer over time, and I enjoyed this, his newest book, the most. He does have a bad habit of drawing scenes out longer than necessessary while the characters stand around dithering and being British, but it is entirely possible I got that impression because I listened to the audiobook. Anyways, I’m glad that I gave him another chance after reading some of his earlier (mediocre) books. I look forward to checking out other books by Holt in the near future.
