Review
I’ve been in the mood for crime novels recently, and although this definitely satisfies that urge to a certain degree, Atkinson’s approach is very literary. The point of the book isn’t really the solution of the murder. It’s more about how a disparate group of people intersects and how their lives affect each other. Where she excels is in the asides and digressions that reveal telling moments about the characters. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
