This looks like a pretty great version of a story I’m already familiar with thanks to a play I was in during college. It’s a cast full of greats, and it looks like it could be one of the best roles Sean Penn has ever had. It’s interesting, however, that the trailer plays down the tragic end to this story.

The Brothers Bloom (From Rian Johnson, the director of Brick)

Johnson tells the tale of the Bloom brothers, two young con men whose lives change forever upon meeting an attractive young heiress named Penelope. While initially the brothers plan to con her, she becomes an unlikely partner in their latest scheme through an incredible twist of fate. The plot thickens when Penelope’s beauty and brains enchant one of the brothers, threatening to break a lifelong bond of kinship.

Yes Man

I like Jim Carrey, I do, but he hasn’t been in anything recently that I really wanted to see. Except for this. “Yes Man” looks entertaining. It has possibilities. I do have to say, however, he’s starting to look his age.
