I think Fox has the right idea with their upcoming slate of new scifi series. I’m absolutely pumped about the new Joss Whedon show, Dollhouse. It’ll be the first time I’ll get to watch one of his shows as it premieres, instead of catching up on DVD after it’s canceled. Hopefully this one will catch on.
As for the new JJ Abrams show, Fringe, it looks interesting, but I’m also having a hard time figuring out what it’s about from the trailer, and I think the fact that they aren’t selling it in a straightforward manner may work against it. It also looks like a reallllly expensive pilot full of action and explosions, and I’m wondering if the series will be able to maintain that style.
