I think its funny that it took a show like Heroes doing really well for the Big "Four" to start adding more Sci-fi to their line-up. It seems like all the new shows this season are a bit fantastical.

I really like Journeyman, I was afraid it was going to be too much like "Quantum Leap", which was a good show, but other than sharing a slightly similar premise, there are not too many similarities.

I've only caught snips of Reaper, and I keep forgetting to DVR it, as CW is way up there on the channel guide and I always forget it, but the little bits I've caught have been good.

Chuck was very funny, though I agree w/ you, highly improbable. I've only seen the first two episodes, but feel like I would have enjoyed it more as a movie, than series, but they may prove me wrong.

I absolutely LOVED "Pushing Daisies", danielle hated it. She said she may have liked it more as a movie than show, but I'm excited about seeing where they take. I like the vibrant colors, the doubling of things (Couer d Couers, Boutique Travel Travel Boutique, the twin sisters, two monkeys) I hope they explain that more, or tie it in more in future episodes. It kind of reminded me of a mix between Amelie and a Wes Anderson Film.

I've got Bionic Woman tivo'ed and hope to be able to watch the first 3 episodes soon.

Yay! TV!

Another reason for buying show: if you don't get cable you can't watch them on tv. Unless you reenact them in a hollow tv with sock puppets covered in aluminum foil, but that's for the hard-core battlestar galactica fans.
fyi, lala tagged you in a meme. if you're willfully ignoring it, that's another matter.

also: why in hell would people pay $1 to buy a show online when it only costs pennies to watch on their tv, even with every possible cable company add-in (and the assumption that they actually watch tv in proportion to the amount of crap they pay for each month)?
Er... I had no idea! I'll have to go look at her blog.

As for paying $1 for an episode... all sorts of reasons. I paid for the 2nd season finale of Battlestar Galactica because the DVR ate the last five minutes of a pretty heinous cliffhanger. Other people (not me) also buy the shows for their iPods and such. I'm much more in the camp with folks who only download free things from the iTunes Store.
