Shockwave Ads

So I was having some trouble with shockwave advertisements, cause every time I went to a page where they had chosen to use this particularly unfortunate brand of advertisement, Firefox would commit suicide and I would have to force quit. This was quite the lamentable situation, cause I was seriously considering chucking firefox and sticking with safari, simply cos it didn’t seem to be having this problem, but then i did a little search and found this: Blocking Ads in Firefox. So nice. You can do so much with this! I actually recommend that everyone should use this if they hate ads… One particularly bad culprit was the new allmusic.com, which seemed to hose my comp every time… now I can browse in peace. Yay!

yeah dude, the pop up blocker in firefox is awesome. i havent had a popup in ages, although on rare ocasions it actually blocks something that is supposed to pop up. but thats not often.

yeah, this is even better, though, cause it’s code that blocks banner ads.
