okay, so i had pretty much given up on haley last night.
i was hanging out with my friend katie, thinking maybe i should just give up and ask her to formal, and then all of a sudden haley showed up and sat down next to me and we started talking, and we actually had a conversation for a good half an hour or so.
people kept interrupting, as they do, because there were a lot of drunk people around last night, but at one point my friend ben grabbed the blanket off my bed and tried to bring it downstairs to cover up katie, who was trying to pass out on the couch.
well, i stopped him, and grabbed the blanket and took it upstairs, and said to haley “i’ll be right back.”
my friend chris had been watching us talk, and he said that not 30 seconds later, haley got up and followed me upstairs.
also, while i was up there her friend adri came up to me and was like “where’s haley? don’t leave her alone… she wanted to talk to you!”
so when i saw haley next she said that she was tired and she was probably going to walk home, so i told her that i would walk her back to her room.
then i talked to her a little bit more this afternoon because it’s our alumni weekend and her dad is a sig…
which is kind of a funny… because as soon as he walked up to me and introduced himself he said “have you seen my daughter anywhere?” and i thought to myself “wow. you’re intimidating.”
she introduced me to him later, which was very… interesting, to say the least.
it all goes to show that all you have to do is not expect anything at all and events will surprise you…
